Readying for one Hale of an Adventure!

I will be the 1st one to admit! I am having so much fun packing and planning for our upcoming trip! I honestly do not know what is in store for us on this journey, my prayer is that it will be non-stressful and loads of fun! I know my kids will want to do some fun stuff, but to them the fun stuff is not always the expensive stuff, a trip to the beach to pick up shells and playing in the water, making a sand castle, and just spending time with friends! They will be happy! I promise to take tons of Pictures!!!
Kevin and I have not been on  a trip since we got married, so 10 plus years, we have worked hard and really just tried to survive all that life was throwing at us, 2 trips down unemployment lane,  buying our first home, broken bones.. Life! I hope this will be the 1st of many trips for us!
Well, off to finish packing!

The Countdown is ON!

In 1 week and 1 day we will be leaving... On our 1st family road trip. Now not all my ideas have panned out for the kids and what I want to do for them... to be honest they might have been a bit more of a dream.. I do plan on making them mini scrap books and stuff of our trip. And I am excited to see what all is in store for us.

Happenings at the homestead!

Hello all! I know it has been almost a month since my last blog...(BAD JENAY)
A few good excuses to follow:
1. We have been BUSY
2. We have been REALLY BUSY
3. My Dads heart decided to act up and we have been spent a week with him in and out of the ICU.

A bit scary  I will admit. And a reminder that we all need to take better care of ourselves and that Daddies don't live forever. It is not something you think about when you are a kid, or a teen, even in your early adulthood. I am having to start thinking about that now... not like everyday, but it does need to be in the very back of my mind.

Moving along, I did decorate my door for the world series, IT  WAS CUTE!!! I will post a picture once I get  it off of Kevin's phone!

We did have a good Pre-4th Kevin, took the boys and I to the Concerts in the Garden! We had fun watching the fireworks and spending time together. Benjamin was really into the music and let loose his boy side! He danced and laughed, and goofed off a lot. Patric was a bit more up tight surprise, surprise! But he too seemed to really enjoy himself.

Cousin's swimming on the Fourth.
On the 4th Kevin and the boys did spend time with his family. And seemed to really enjoy everyone's company!

My list has not shrunk any or grown, I have made a few necklaces for the boys, I hope they like.
The plan is to spend sometime Saturday starting on their room.I plan to start with sanding their beds this weekend.

Happy Day all! I will get back into the swing of things with the blogging! Till next time

MOHAWKS HAVE LANDED IN HALE LAND

Witty Benjamin

Tonight on our drive home from running a few errands, Kevin informed me about how witty Benjamin had been this afternoon.
Kevin had picked the boys up from day camp, and each boy had given their Dad their homemade Father's day cards. And after a hair cut and a bit of time at home, sweet Benjamin's brain began to work. He looked up at Kevin and asked, "Dada, when is Son Day?" Kevin, not thinking the same as Benjamin, "Sunday is in 2 days Benjamin." "NO Dad, when is SON DAY?"  Pointing to himself, "There is Mom's day, Dad's day, but when is Son Day?"  Kevin, finally getting what he meant, "well, there is Halloween, Christmas, your Birthday, Easter, and Valentines!"

Let's be honest, EVERYDAY is SON'S DAY!!!!

Lost and Found!

Well... A year ago we bought the boys each a DSi.
One was black the other white.
We went to Burgers Lake on day and the black one came up missing.
We just knew it had been left out and stolen.
Today Kevin was putting an antenna on the car so he can have his radio in it and lo and behold, he found the Black DSi.
I hope this becomes the habit for our summer as we clean move go through and re organize! I wonder what other great treasures we will find along the way! Oh the possibilities! HAHA! you never know what you will find from when your children were tots. What a wild adventure this is gonna be!!!

Another project in the works

I bet you are wondering why is there a picture of my washing machine with some red something on it. It's the newest project that Kevin and I are working on. We are making bags for the Muckdog's to put their many pin that they will collect at the world series. Next on the list is to press them and then embroider them with our team name.
I am very excited by this. But my bathroom is not. We rinsed these all out in the bath tub and now it has a very very red hue to it. Oh well it needed some personality. I will post the finish product later on! Hopefully we will have everything done this weekend. We shall see.. Happy Day!
